Board Members

Ikageng Board of Trustees features a host of high profile business people, academics and Social Entrepreneurs who have come together to help the organisation make a difference in the lives of orphaned and vulnerable children around the Soweto and assist Ikageng to  reach its objectives.


Linda Nxumalo is an ambitious strong woman, an assertive go getter who is focused and dedicated in everything she does. Linda is a Transformation Diversity Director and BBBEE at Fluor SA. Her previous experience includes working as an integration Manager (SAP HR) at Transnet National Ports Authority.

Linda studied Bachelor of Arts (Hons,) in international Business Management at De Monfort University (United Kingdom) and recently studied an executive development program with the Gordon Institute of Business Science. Linda has served on different board levels as a Non-Executive Member at Johannesburg Road Agency (PTY)LTD, Domba Empowerment Corporation, Tshisimane Womans Investment Company, Meropa Casino and Metropolitan Trading company to name but a few.


Hein Weyers is the Corporate Relations Manager at DAV Professional Placement Group a division of Adcorp Holdings and the Vice Chairperson at Ikageng Itireleng.

Hein previous experience includes working as the Marketing Manager at Quest Staffing Solutions and has worked as a sales and key accounts manager at First Rand and Naspers.

Hein studied a BSc in Engineering (Civil) at the University of Cape Town and did a Management Advancement Programme at Wits University and currently doing his MBA


Mandi Fine is the CEO at Fine Group a strategic Marketing Services company. Fine group has become recognised as the South African leader in healthcare communications and has received numerous local and international awards for creativity and innovation.

Mandi’s previous experience include working as an Account Executive for Harrison and Star Omnicom a specialized healthcare communications agency based in New York and her range of skills include creative strategy marketing, Digital Marketing, Brand Management and strategic planning.  

Mandi Fine holds an MSc in Nutrition and Neuroscience from Wits University, where she has published numerous international clinical papers from her research work.


Marc Hirschowits is a founder and Director at Concepts Park (PTY) LTD a leading creative agency and events Management Company IN South Africa and an owner of a well-known restaurant called RAMEN in Braamfontein South Africa. Marc is a highly motivated and entrepreneurial individual and has directed Conceptspark to be a premium events company with offices in JHB, London, and Cape Town

His Work experiences include working as a corporate strategist for Middlesex Holding PLC (London)

Corporate Strategist for Agrifarm International
Business Development Manager for Tecteon PLC and is skilled in Event Management, marketing strategy and communications and Public Relations.

MSc in corporate strategy and Project Management at the University of Surrey (United Kingdom) BComm Business Economics (UNISA)


Fabio Pedrazzi works at McKinsey & Company since 2005, a global management consulting firm and one of Ikageng's largest donors. Fabio has been actively involved in Ikageng since 2011. He also tutored children at the Johannesburg College in Alexandra in 2008.

MSc in Chemical Engineering and Industrial Management at Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm. MSc in Business Administration and Economics at Stockholm University School of Business

Fabio Pedrazzi works as an Associate Principal at Mckinsey and Company and is responsible for managing consultants ensuring quality of deliverables and coaching.


Geoffrey Pallister is a retired Engineer currently serving on the Advisory Committee to the School of Mechanical, Industrial and Aeronautical Engineering at Wits University. Previous Experience

  • Joined the Chamber of Mines Research organisation where he worked in the Mining Research Laboratory.
  • Technical Director of MRT Bartons (1975)
  • Managing Director of MRT Bartons (1990)
  • Managing Director of Salmac Stainless Tube (1994)
  • Group Project Director of the Barloworld Robor Group
  • Technical Consultant for Robor Group (2010)
Studied at the University of Witwatersrand and obtained BSc Degree in Mechanical Engineering (1964) MSc Degree in Engineering at Wits University (1966)


Carol Dyantyi is a mother of five, born on the 6th of May 1956. Carol could not complete her matric at Morris Isaacson due to the Soweto Uprising in 1976, In 1980 carol worked as waitress at the Calton hotel she then registered with an ABET institute and completed her matric in 1995 she studied and completed her Diploma in Hotel management at an institute called the 3 Cities Hotel and she was promoted to become a manager after she completed her degree.

In 1997 she registered with RAU College now known as The University of Johannesburg where she studied and completed her Diploma in community development.

She further studied through Unisa for HIV/AIDS Counselling in 1999. In the 2000 she then registered to study nursing but she never completed her course. She then secured a part time auxiliary nursing job at the Netcare academy. Carol is currently furthering her course on Community Development and leadership through the University of Johannesburg
